Three Kings Day Celebration To Give Hundreds Of Gifts To Aurora Kids

Three men dress up as the magi to present gifts to Aurora children — more than 1,000 gifts were given out last year.

During the celebration, which falls on the final weekend of most children's winter break, Aurora families can enjoy free food, drinks, music and dancing while celebrating Three Kings Day.

AURORA, IL — Three Kings Day is Saturday, and Aurora is planning to celebrate by giving hundreds of gifts to children.

The 12th annual event is planned from 3-7 p.m. at La Quinta de Los Reyes, 36 E. New York St., one of Aurora's most popular Mexican restaurants.

Three Kings Day, celebrated 12 days after Christmas, honors the three wise men who followed the star to Bethlehem after the birth of Jesus Christ and presented him with gold, frankincense and myrrh.
