Fox Valley Music Foundation Executive Director Karen Fouts said past donations and sponsorships have enabled the organization to book performances by top artists and continue The Venue's Songwriter Series, which features songwriting and storytelling from emerging artists. They also help fund the Pete Ellman Big Band residency project, which provides professional performance experience for high school and community college jazz bands each Tuesday night.
This year, donations to the organization will help support a special festival Master Class by Pete Ellman scheduled for March 2024. Organizers are expecting it to enrich the musical talents of more than 300 students, according to Fouts.
