Vigils Planned For Victims Of Aurora Shooting

Those who attend are invited to bring flowers and notes along with their "love and comfort."

AURORA, IL -- Several vigils have been planned to honor the victims of the deadly Aurora shooting that claimed the lives of five employees and injured six police officers at Henry Pratt Company Friday afternoon. The vigils, organized by community groups throughout Aurora, will pay tribute to those who lost their lives and those who were impacted by Friday's tragedy.

All are invited to attend the vigils to show their support and sympathy as Aurora rallies to recover from Friday's loss.

Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. at Henry Pratt Company

Area churches have banded together with the Aurora Prayer Coalition and Crosses for Losses to hold a prayer vigil outside of Henry Pratt Company at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. "Let us stand together to pray for the victims, their families, the Aurora Police Department, all first responders, and the entire city of Aurora," vigil organizers said in a post online.

Indivisible Aurora Vigil And Moment Of Silence

Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at Water Street Mall, 44 E. Downer Pl.

Indivisible Aurora has planned a vigil and moment of silence for Feb. 18. The vigil is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the moment of silence will be observed at 1:24 p.m., the time at which police received the first calls reporting the tragic shooting.
