Visit Aurora Museums 'After Dark' During Summer

Enjoy free admission to several Aurora museums after hours on select days in summer.

AURORA, IL -- Select museums in Aurora will be staying open longer this summer to give families more time to check out their offerings. The free Aurora Museums After Dark events will be held on the second Thursday of each month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting June 13.

Free trolley rides will be available to ferry visitors to and from the museums once they get to downtown Aurora. Museums taking part in the Aurora Museums After Dark events include:

  • Aurora Regional Fire Museum
  • David L. Pierce Art and History Center
  • Grand Army of the Republic Museum
  • Santori Public Library
  • SciTech Hands On Museum

Kids can pick up a museum passport at participating museums and get it stamped at each stop they make. Passports with three or more stamps can be entered for a chance to win a museum membership pass, totes, and other prizes.
