Woman, 39, Shot Outside LaSalle Street Residence: Aurora Police
Police said the woman was in critical but stable condition following the shooting.
AURORA, IL — A 39-year-old woman was shot early Tuesday morning outside a residence in the 600 block of South LaSalle Street, according to Aurora police.
Officers were dispatched at about 4:08 a.m. to the residence in response to a ShotSpotter alert. Police located the woman and began rendering aid until Aurora Fire Department paramedics responded to bring her to a local hospital.
Police said the woman was listed in critical but stable condition. Hers were the only injuries reported.

Detectives from the Aurora Police Department's investigations bureau are investigating the shooting. Evidence technicians processed the scene and collected forensic evidence.
