Woman Charged With Choking Child At Aurora Mental Health Facility
Jacquetta Hill, 35, was charged with child endangerment in connection with the Oct. 19 incident.

AURORA, IL -- A Yorkville woman is facing child endangerment charges after police say she choked a student at a juvenile mental health facility where she was working. Jacquetta Hill, 35, is accused of having placed"her hands around the victim’s neck and applied pressure, impeding his breathing" while she worked at Northern Illinois Academy in Aurora, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.
Northern Illinois Academy is a residential mental health treatment facility; Hill is accused of choking a student who has special needs and is younger than 13 years old.
On Jan. 10, a warrant was issued for Hill's arrest. She turned herself in on Jan. 17 and was released on bond.

Hill is set to appear in court again on Jan. 28. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and must register as a violent offender against youth.
