Yorkville Woman, 30, Found Dead In Aurora Basement: Police

Police say the death appears to be "suspicious" and that an initial autopsy was inconclusive.

AURORA, IL --- Police in Aurora are investigating the death of a 30-year-old Yorkville woman whose body was found in a basement of an Aurora apartment building Tuesday. Kristina L. Davies, of the 7700 block of Madeline Drive, Yorkville, was found deceased by two men who were doing maintenance on the building's basement, police say.

The Kane County Coroner conducted an investigation Wednesday afternoon, but said results were "inconclusive," police shared in an online post. Authorities say they will have to "await results from the toxicology tests to better determine the cause of death."

According to police, Davies never lived in the apartment building, which was located in the 1300 block of Monomoy St. Police say the circumstances of Davies's death appear to be "suspicious."
