The 9th annual Barrington Art Festival returns this Memorial Day weekend! Free and open to the public, the Barrington Art Festival will showcase the work of more than 130 juried artists from around the world in a variety of mediums including painting, ceramics, glass, furniture, photography, jewelry, mixed media, drawing, fiber and more! Live music featuring Cirrus Falcon, kid-friendly activities, artist demonstrations, and booth chats to learn more about the artists and their work, make the award-winning Barrington Art Festival one of the country’s most popular!
New this year is the Barrington “Hands Together” Mural Project. Kids of all ages (including adults) are invited to add their hand print to a community mural showing that Barrington is a community of unique individuals, but stronger and more unified together. Each participant will get an 8” x 8” square and their choice of paint colors to create a hand print. The hand prints will become part of a 4’ x 8’ mural that will be displayed in the community. Painting can be messy, so please dress accordingly. The Barrington “Hands Together” project will take place from noon – 1pm both Saturday and Sunday.
Attention photographers! Consider entering Amdur Productions’ new Landmarks Photo Contest.
