Barrington Fall Wine Walk scheduled for Oct. 10 in downtown Barrington (lakecountygazette.com) — Downtown Barrington hosts its Fall Wine Walk tomorrow, Oct. 10, from 2 to 6 p.m., with 24 stops pouring red and white samples inside local shops and restaurants. After checking in at Neoteca for a glass and map, you can stroll through town, enjoy art displays, and explore nearby dining options while supporting Barrington businesses.
   

2. Traffic Alert: Intermittent Road Closures on Route 14 and Lake Zurich Road Oct. 10–11 (barringtonhillsobserver.com) — Barrington drivers should expect intermittent closures today and Sunday on Route 14 and Lake Zurich Road as a Canadian National train slowly delivers stone to the underpass project. The train will likely arrive around noon both days, blocking CN crossings for several hours while police manage detours and access to nearby businesses, the library, and Citizens Park.
   

3. Barrington beats Fremd on last-second Beals field goal, pulls even on the season (dailyherald.com) — Barrington High School's football team edged Fremd 27-25 on Friday with a last-second 21-yard field goal, clinching a second straight Mid-Suburban West title and evening their record. Junior running back Lamar Osterhues powered the Broncos with 248 rushing yards and three touchdowns as Barrington continued its remarkable turnaround from an 0-4 start.
   

4. Oh, my gourd! Suburban pumpkin patches, fall fests offer autumn adventures (dailyherald.com) — Families near Barrington can head just down the road to Goebbert's Fall Festival in South Barrington for animals, mazes, rides, and pumpkin fun running daily through Nov. 1. The roundup also spotlights other suburban pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and fall festivals, with hours, prices, and highlights to help you plan autumn outings.
