Advocate Good Shepherd Named 9th Best Hospital in Illinois
Nineteen additional Advocate Aurora Health hospitals were recognized for delivering exceptional patient care by U.S. News and World Report

Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital was recognized among U.S. News & World Report’s ‘Best Hospitals.’
Advocate Good Shepherd earned a “Best Regional Hospital” recognition and was named the ninth best hospital in Chicagoland and in Illinois. It received acclaim for high-performing services across 16 different specialties, procedures and conditions, including gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, urology, heart bypass surgery, congestive heart failure, colon cancer surgery, COPD, heart attack, hip replacement, hip fracture, kidney failure, pneumonia, and prostate cancer surgery.

Nineteen additional Advocate Aurora Health hospitals were named to the list, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Grafton, Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Trinity Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Summit, Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Oshkosh, Aurora West Allis Medical Center, Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area, Aurora Medical Center-Manitowoc County and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Advocate Children’s Hospital was recognized earlier in the summer as a top pediatric hospital.
U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide. Their methodology is based on measures of quality such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other care-related indicators.
