• Barrington hopes streetscape improvements boost downtown's draw (dailyherald.com) — Barrington's downtown just finished phase one of a $1.5 million streetscape overhaul, with new sidewalks, resurfaced streets, landscaping, and expanded outdoor dining areas now open for residents and visitors. Village leaders say the upgrades are the first step in a broader revitalization, with phase two on Main and Hough streets and a new Park Avenue plaza planned for next year.
