Barrington Fire Department to Host Annual Open House
The fun family event includes many activities including the chance to meet Sparky the Dog.
The Board of Trustees of the invite residents to experience a behind the-scenes glimpse of fire department operations, explore equipment and facilities, and learn how firefighters and paramedics serve the community during the , 9 a.m. – noon, Saturday, Sept. 24.
The free event will be held at the , 400 N. Northwest Highway.

- Observe the Barrington Fire Department’s proud tradition of serving communities that comprise the BCFPD.
- Climb aboard the department’s fleet of engines, ambulances, trucks and tenders.
- Learn about fire, bicycle and railroad safety.
- Meet and talk with firefighters, paramedics, fire department officials and district trustees.
- Enjoy complimentary refreshments.
- Say hello to Sparky the Fire Dog.
Barrington Fire Chief James Arie encourages District residents and business owners to attend the Open House. It is an opportunity to view state-of-the-art life-saving technology, meet the firefighters who protect their communities, and see how their tax dollars support fire suppression and emergency medical services.
