The Best High-School Football Benchwarmer Highlight Video

If you can’t grab the spotlight with your play on the football field, why not aim the spotlight at your spot on the sideline? Barrington High School’s Jack Lenihan, a 5-foot-11-inch, 145-pound senior, did just that in a mock football-highlight video he posted on Hudl.com this week. In the last few days, his video has been picked up on USA Today, SBNation, Bleacher Report, FanBuzz, Fox Sports, The Sporting News and more.

“There were six plays of me playing in a game,” Lenihan told the Daily Herald on Tuesday. “Four of them were me missing blocks and one was of me dropping a pass, so I thought I would put in shots of me standing on the sideline to fill it out.”

Lenihan said the athletic department of the University of California-Berkeley has called ... and offered him a job as an equipment manager.
