Children’s Theatre Summer Shows in ‘the Listening Room’ at the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park

The Lakeside
Legacy Arts Park is proud to announce a partnership with “Lawless Archer
Creative” in hopes of expanding children’s programming within the community.
This collaboration will utilize ‘the Listening Room’, the state-of-the-art
performance venue located within in the Garden Level at Lakeside. Lawless
Archer Creative will be putting on children’s theatre programs at the Lakeside
Legacy Arts Park this summer through a rental of ‘the Listening Room’ venue.
They have produced Uncle Em’s Traveling
Hootenanny Presents: Keep Your Story Short Cause Your Tale’s Too Tall
,
which is a family show that combines music, puppets, and wild costumes in a
vaudeville-influenced storytelling narrative of the American Folklore classics
of Paul Bunyan, Molly Pitcher, Johnny Appleseed, John Henry, and Pecos Bill.
These shows are scheduled for June 21st, July 26th, and August 23rd at 11:00am.
Tickets are $5.00 for children and $10.00 for adults. To purchase your tickets

of the Lakeside Legacy Foundation, said, “Lakeside has put on a couple
interactive children’s concerts in ‘the Listening Room’, complete with live
music, singing, and dancing. This new partnership with Lawless Archer Creative
will only expand the types of children’s programs we bring to the community,
such as children’s theatre!”

Take advantage
of these unique children’s programming opportunities in 'the Listening Room' on
June 21st, July 26th, and August 23rd at
11:00am. Lakeside is excited about continuing children's programs and growing
interest to these programs within the community. Tickets are $5.00 for kids and
$10.00 for parents. Make your ticket purchase in advance by visiting ‘the
Listening Room’ schedule page at www.LakesideLegacy.org or www.lawlessarcher.com/uncle-em. If online sales have not sold out, tickets can also be
purchased at the door. Lakeside encourages people to purchase tickets in
advance. If you purchase tickets at the door however, please arrive by 10:30am.
'the Listening Room' is located within Lakeside Legacy Arts Park at 401 Country
Club Road, Crystal Lake, IL. Lakeside Legacy is a 501(c)3 charitable
organization, and is also home to the Historic Dole Mansion.
