Parker Players Theater Company

Parker Players Theater Company (PPTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit professional theater company based in Barrington, dedicated to producing intimate, artist-driven work that invites audiences into the heart of the story. Founded on the belief that theater is a shared act of connection, PPTC creates immersive productions that bridge the distance between artist and audience, reminding us why live storytelling matters. Rooted in Barrington yet inspired by Chicago’s vibrant theater tradition, PPTC has become a cultural home for artists and audiences seeking bold, thoughtful, meticulously crafted productions. Our work spans classic plays, contemporary dramas, sharp comedies, and staged readings, each selected for its emotional resonance, artistic rigor, and ability to spark conversation. PPTC’s productions are intentionally designed for intimacy. In our flexible black-box venue, audiences experience theater at close range, where every silence, glance, and shift in energy becomes palpable. This proximity creates a uniquely immediate experience—one rarely found in larger commercial venues—and allows audiences to feel fully immersed in the world of each production. What makes Parker Players unique is our uncompromising commitment to quality and connection. We collaborate with accomplished Chicago-area directors, actors, designers, and technicians while cultivating local artistic talent. Our company values fearless storytelling, meticulous craftsmanship, and the transformative power of gathering together in shared space. At Parker Players Theater Company, theater is more than entertainment. It is a communal experience that challenges, delights, and connects us. Our invitation is simple: experience the connection.
