DAR To Host Afternoon Tea and Drama
Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR, will hold its annual Afternoon Tea and Drama at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at The Garlands.

Barrington, IL-based Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR, will hold its annual Afternoon Tea and Drama beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in the Performing Arts Center at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington.
The live program will feature Martina Mathisen, educational entertainer, who will portray Flora the Flapper in, “Chicago: True Stories of the 1920’s.” She will answer the question: What put the ROAR in the ROARING ‘20’s?” Attendees will be temporarily transported and transfixed by the true stories that shaped an infamous city and decade. Following the program, attendees may stay for a drawing to determine the winners of eight specialty-item baskets.

The Signal Hill Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was chartered fifty-two years ago in Barrington, IL in 1972. NSDAR is a volunteer women’s service organization headquartered in Washington, DC.
