DAR Supports Lake County Honor Flight

Members of the Signal Hill Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), met with members of the Lake County Honor Flight organization to honor America’s veterans with a donation.

Since 2013, Lake County Honor Flight (LCHF) has celebrated America’s veterans with a multi-day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. LCHF works diligently to raise funds to provide trips to veterans at no cost to them.

LCHF, an independent hub of the Honor Flight Network, has sponsored twenty-three flights to date. They fly three multiple-day Honor Flights each year, usually in April, August, and October. Their groups depart from North Chicago, IL, and fly out of General Mitchell International Airport, Milwaukee, WI.

LCHF covers all expenses related to each veteran's trip. Every flight is funded by the generosity of individuals and corporations who support its 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Honor flight #24 hosted by LCHF is scheduled for April 26-28, 2024. Waiting to fly are 223 veterans. For more information: https://www.lakecountyhonorflight.org/.
