Dynamic Professional Women’s Network Launches Nonprofit Angel Foundation

The Dynamic Professional Women’s Network will formally launch the nonprofit DPWN Angel Foundation Oct. 9 at its Dynamic Women’s Conference at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows. The foundation’s mission is to make a significant impact in the lives of mothers who do not qualify for government assistance, yet need support during a temporary life transition. The network’s membership meets the various needs that impact these women’s daily lives by leveraging connections.

Christie Ruffino, founder and president of Dynamic Professional Women’s Network, fully understands what these women have endured. Several years ago, she became a single divorced mother and searched for ways and resources to supplement her income.

“I want to be able to help women who need resources and financial aid when they can’t get them from the government,” she says.

It takes a successful partnership of DPWN members and donors to help these women make positive changes in their lives. Ruffino explains that members provide referrals of women to the foundation as well as mentorships and professional resources. She is currently seeking donors who can provide financial assistance.

“We have the membership but without donors, we can’t get the job done,” she says. “We want to encourage women to join DPWN to become members to help in the foundation and continue to make those important connections.”
