Elgin Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund Receives Support from DAR
The Elgin, IL Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund received financial support from the Barrington, IL-based Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR.

The Elgin, IL Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund received financial support in the amount of $500 from the Barrington, IL-based Signal Hill Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
The Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 to provide help to families who live in Elgin and need financial assistance for youth recreational opportunities. Boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17 are eligible to apply. Scholarship funds may be used for a variety of recreation programs provided by the City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department.
The Signal Hill Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was founded in Barrington, IL in 1972. NSDAR is a volunteer women’s service organization headquartered in Washington, DC.

Due to fund-raising efforts throughout 2021, the Chapter was able to contribute financially to a number of 501 (c) (3) organizations, specifically in the areas of historic preservation, education, patriotism, conservation, and Native Americans.
Since its founding in 1890, over one million women have joined both nationally and around the world. Membership in NSDAR is open to any woman aged 18 and over who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. For more information: https://signalhilldar.com.
