The Barrington High School Jazz Bands will present their “Java and Jazz” Concert on Friday, April 27th at 7:00PM in Barrington High School Student Cafeteria. The concert will feature the Jazz Ensemble and “Rithum Machine” jazz big bands, and combos from the high school. Music to be performed on the program will include the music of Herbie Hancock, Maynard Ferguson, Stanley Turrentine, Tito Puente, as well many other contemporary and standard jazz works, and some student compositions. All of the BHS jazz seniors will be featured at some point throughout the evening as soloists. This event features jazz music in a casual coffeehouse setting. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, 10 and under and senior citizens are free. Coffee, soft drinks, cookies, and snacks will be available as well as a number of raffles items and baskets.This is the final Barrington High School jazz event for the season.
