"Brushstrokes" Art Show at the Garland's of Barrington

"Brushstrokes" Art Show   

The members of Lake Barrington Shores Brushworks are holding an art show at the "Garlands of Barrington" for the month of September.  An opening champagne reception will be Friday, September 7th from 4 pm - 6 pm.  This impressive show features both paintings and photography of members.  The exciting Brushstrokes features watercolors, oils, drawings and acrylic works of art.

In addition, Brushstrokes will have some pet portraits on exhibit.  Several members of Brushstrokes are currently donating and painting pet portrait's.  All the money raised from their sale will be donated to The Tower of Hope.  This organization provides service dogs to the wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.  Find out more about the charitable endeavor at the Show!

Brushstrokes was started in September 2010 with about 12 members.  The membership is now over 25.  Frequently in the better weather they paint outdoors.  The rest of the time, members paint at the Lake Barrington Shores Recreation Center.
