Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble (BYDE) will present Under the Big Top, a one act circus ballet, on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Barrington High School. Both performances will be 2:00 pm matinees with circus festivities beginning one hour before curtain. Families are invited to enjoy face painting, circus acts and balloon art before BYDE’s exciting child-friendly production.
Returning professional guest artist Phillip Ollenburg, of the Madison Ballet and Minnesota Dance Theater, will lead our circus as The Ring Master. Our cast also features all nineteen members of Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble and includes more than 65 local Barrington Dance Academy students presenting all the treasured acts of a traditional traveling circus: Tight Rope Walkers, Funny Clowns, High Flyers, Circus Animals, a Marching Band and a Strong Man.
