Fox River Grove Chinese Restaurant Re-Opens Following Fire

After being closed for over a year, a Fox River Grove restaurant re-opened in recent weeks.

The renovated New China restaurant, at 308 Northwest Highway in Fox River Grove, celebrated its grand re-opening on Sept. 18. The business closed in January 2013 following a kitchen fire, said Lisa C. Barrett, Administrative Services Coordinator for the Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, in an e-mail.

Prior to the fire, the business had been open in the Fox River community for 25 years.

New China offers delivery from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The restaurant is open from 4 to 10 p.m. on Monday, 11 am. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday, and from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
