Hoffman Estates Park District Offers Free Taste of Preschool

Parents with children from age 27 months to 4 years old are invited to explore options for preschool for the 2018-2019 school year.

Parents with children from age 27 months to 4 years old are invited to explore options for preschool for the 2018-2019 school year. The Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) offers parents a chance to visit the classrooms and talk to teachers at the Preschool Open House on Tues., Jan. 30, 7-8 p.m. at Willow Recreation Center (3600 Lexington Rd., Hoffman Estates) and Wed., Jan. 31, 7-8 p.m. at the Triphahn Center (1685 W. Higgins Rd., Hoffman Estates)

In addition, kids have a chance to try out a one-hour preschool class before they enroll at the Taste of Preschool event on Monday, Feb. 19 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Triphahn Center, or Willow Recreation Center.

“These events give the child and parent a chance to meet the teachers, see the program, explore the classroom, and learn about the daily routine. They also will have the opportunity to register for preschool,” said Early Childhood Program Manager Wendy Stoner. The events are all free, but the Taste of Preschool event requires registration. Parents can register online at heparks.org with program number 216303 or at a HE Parks facility.
