When you have dogs, you know that this time of year is the beginning of mud season. Hopefully, you’ve already trained your pooch to stand still and let you towel off all four paws. If not, here’s an easy way to begin:
- Each time your dog comes to you for attention inside the house, have a hand towel ready to wipe one or two paws. After you wipe a paw, give your dog a small treat.
- Start by just wiping the outside of the paw and then wipe the bottom. As your dog gets used to having his/her paws wiped, start gently pushing the towel between the toes & middle pad on the bottom of their feet.
Wiping paws means that your floors will stay clean longer!
