Police Blotter: Fraud Reported at Travel House

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Resisting a Police Officer:

Sean P. Easton, 26, of the 300 block of Beverly Road, was arrested for battery and resisting a police officer on Nov. 3 at Wool Street Bar & Grill. Easton was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Dec. 5.

Samuel Mendoza, 24, of Long Grove, was arrested for DUI, no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage at Kainer Avenue and Main Street on Nov. 3. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Dec. 9.

Makray Memorial Golf Course reported a bad check written for $7,000 on Nov. 8.

Damaged Property:

A rock was thrown through the rear window of a vehicle in the 100 block of East Main Street on Nov. 10. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle:

A 15-year-old Chicago boy was charged with criminal trespass to vehicle and theft under $150 on Kings Row Nov. 10. His Cook County court date is Dec. 22.

Internet Fraud:

An Internet fraud report was taken at Travel House on Nov. 11. Someone cloned the travel website and customers are sending payments for discounted airline tickets to a location on the west coast.

Stolen Property:

A digital recorder was taken from a purse in the waiting room at 111 Lions Drive on Nov. 12.

An HP laptop computer was taken from a parked car at 150 W. Main St. on Nov. 12. The computer’s value is estimated at $2,000.
