Village Of Barrington Adjusts Summer Schedule To Lessen Pandemic Impact
"Below is your guide to what's happening (and not happening) this summer."
As you are likely aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the cancelation of many of Barrington’s most cherished summer traditions, including our July 4th parade and fireworks. Below is your guide to what’s happening (and not happening) this summer:
Farmer’s Market: The Barrington Farmer’s Market will go forward as planned, each Thursday from June 18 to October 15 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Park Avenue. The market will be “walk-through,” with strict social distancing guidelines being observed.

Cruise Night: Cruise Night is canceled. There will be no assemblies of vehicles, no entertainment, no Kid Zone, and no food vendors.
July 4th: “Take the Parade to the People”: While the July 4th parade and fireworks have been canceled, we are taking the parade to the people by encouraging our residents to decorate their cars and have a neighborhood parade between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th. You might even see some of our Barrington fire trucks and police cars drive through!
