Is A Military Veteran You Know Buried At Evergreen?

philanthropic organization partnering with Wreaths Across America

The Signal Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will honor military veterans by coordinating wreath-laying on National Wreaths Across America Day at the Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington this December. The chapter is working with the Evergreen Cemetery Association to identify the graves of all US military veterans interred there in anticipation of the community’s response.

To date, nearly 400 veterans dating from the Civil War have been identified by the bronze or stone US Government markers offered to all military veterans. If your family has a US Military Veteran (not identified as above) interred at Evergreen Cemetery, please contact Sherry Mummert at evergreencemeteryassn@gmail.com by August 1, 2019.

Information regarding the ordering of memorial wreaths for Evergreen will be published in the fall. General information on the Wreaths Across America program may be found at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
