5 Counterfeit $100 Bills Passed at Target

A suspect makes purchases with the five one-hundred-dollar bills and returns an item from the St. Charles Target.

A fraud case that included counterfeit $100 bills and a return scam between Target stores in Batavia and St. Charles was reported to the Batavia Police Department last week.

Someone passed five fake $100 bills at Target, 114 N. Randall Road, according to a report filed by the Batavia Police Department around 5:06 p.m. June 29.

A suspect made purchases with the five one-hundred-dollar bills and returned an item from the St. Charles Target valued at $183.59 and attempted to make a purchase with a declined credit card. The bills and video surveillance were put into evidence.
