Batavia Block Party Tasting Menu Unveiled: See What's Being Served

Nine participating restaurants have revealed their menu items for the Block Party and Taste of Batavia happening Labor Day weekend.

BATAVIA, IL — The tasting menu for the upcoming Block Party and Taste of Batavia has been unveiled.

The Batavia MainStreet-hosted event will be held from 4-9 p.m. Sept. 3 during Labor Day weekend. Restaurants will be set up at Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Ave., with drinks and $3 food tastings. Across the street, a car show will feature a line-up of vintage and muscle cars on North River Street.

When it comes to food, the event is a good time to check off the local restaurants you've had on your list and decide which ones to return to in the future.

Here's a look at what's on the menu:

  • Gammon Coach House: Pulled pork sliders
  • Wilson Street Tavern: Cilantro lime chicken sandwiches
  • Sidecar Supper Club: Soft pretzels with sweet or spicy mustard
  • Chicken Salad Chick: Chicken salad with crackers
  • Pal Joey's: Pizza
  • Thai Village: Pad Thai
  • Windmill Grille and Pizzeria: Fried Oreos and lemon lavender lemonade
  • Koconuts Shave Ice: Snowcones
  • Haylie B's Bakery: Two for $3 cookies
