Batavia Farmers Market Ready To Welcome Customers Saturday
The Batavia Farmers Market will reopen for the summer starting Saturday, with food vendors spread out along North River Street.

BATAVIA, IL — After months of uncertainty created by the coronavirus pandemic, the Batavia Farmers Market is set to open for its 25th year on Saturday. For at least the first week, the market will only feature food vendors, as organizers work to follow safety precautions and other guidelines, Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke said.
The “somewhat redesigned” market will see food vendors spaced out along North River Street between Wilson and Spring streets, Schielke said. Most years, the market operates between Wilson and State streets, but the extra block will provide space to safely accommodate more vendors and customers.
