Batavia Police Arrest St. Charles Man for Phone Harassment

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Batavia police received two harassment by telephone complaints last week, one of which resulted in the arrest of a St. Charles man. Here are the reports:

Harassment by Telephone—Batavia police arrested Sean P. Scheffler, 30, of St. Charles on charges of harassment through electronic communication at around 10:56 p.m. Feb. 25 on the 400 block of North Washington Avenue. Scheffler was released and has a court date of March 19.

Harassment by Telephone—A resident in the 300 block of First Street reported at around 3 a.m. Feb. 26 receiving harassing text messages. No other information is available.
