Batavia Traffic Reports: Charges Include Permitting Unauthorized Person to Drive
The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The traffic arrests from May 20 to May 30 in Batavia include an unusual case of one family member cited for driving without a valid license and another for permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
- Police cited Julie Novy, 24, of Batavia for driving without a valid driver’s license around 6:33 p.m. May 27 at the intersection of Raddant Road and East Wilson Street, reports said. Also cited was Susan C. Novy, 54, of the same address, on charges of permitting an unauthorized person to drive. Both posted I-Bond and have a court date of June 11.
- Police arrested Victor Ariza-Morales, 69, of North Aurora on charges of disobeying a stop or yield sign, no valid driver’s license around 6:25 p.m. May 29, reports said. He has a court date of July 9.
- Police arrested Daniel Barrios-Lopez, 45, of Aurora on charges of speeding, operating an uninsured vehicle and no valid driver’s license around 5:37 a.m. May 25 in the 1200 block of South Kirk Road, reports said. He was released on 10 percent of $1,500 I-Bond with a court date of June 18.
- Police arrested Latasha McGee, 34, of 229 N. Harrison St. on charges of driving while license suspended. She also received a warning notice for failure to signal a turn. She was released on her signature and has a court date of June 11.
- Police arrested Diana Aten, 31, of 1005 Lorlyn Circle for driving while license suspended according to a report filed around 9:49 p.m. May 2. She also received a warning notice for a defective headlight. She ws released on her signature and has a court date of June 11.
- Police arrested Candace Holbrook, 20, of North Aurora on charges of driving while license suspended. She also received a warning notice for driving with a defective windshield. She has a court date of July 9.
- Police arrested Carlos Luna, 27, of Aurora on charges of no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident around 1:47 p.m. May 21 at the intersection of South Randall Road and Main Street, reports said. He posted $150 bond and has a court date of July 2.
- Police arrested Augustina Hernandez, 30, of Aurora on charges of failure to yield at an intersection, disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured vehicle and no valid driver’s lices around 4:31 p.m. May 21 at the intersection of North Raddant Road and Swanson Drive, reports said. She has a court date of June 11.
- Police arrested Jose Chacon-Lemus, 24, of Chicago on charges of no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop around 10:23 p.m. May 21 at Route 31 and Houston Street, reports said. He has a court date of June 11.
