Batter up at the Batavia McDonald’s for BYB
Batavia Youth Baseball hits it out of the park at the Batavia McDonald's to raise funds for their Teams
Batavia Youth Baseball had the bases loaded at the Batavia McDonald’s. Coaches, Umpires, and Team Volunteers from BYB volunteered behind the counter and throughout the restaurant on Monday, June 10, at the Batavia McDonald's located on Wilson St., where they served players and their families in a fundraiser for the teams.
Matt Alholm, Thomas Prescott, Jason Prescott, and Tim Vermaat each took a turn tending to the pie box during the event. While several volunteers did an outstanding job selling pies to customers throughout the night. The pies were donated to the team, for sale at the event, by Yanni Management and John Lardas Owner-Operator of the Batavia McDonald's.
The proceeds from the sale of 190 pies went directly to benefit the team. Fifteen percent of the proceeds from the food sales were donated directly to Batavia Youth Baseball, which plans to use the money for Scholarships.
