Criminal Damage: Windows Smashed, Quarry Pool Graffiti and More

Here's a roundup of criminal damage to property reports in Batavia from July 3 to July 14.

Graffiti at Fantastico's

Someone painted graffiti using blue paint at Fantastico’s, 227 W. Wilson St., around 3:25 a.m. July 14. Cost of repair was unknown at the time the report was filed.

Vehicle Damage: Windows Smashed, More

  • The rear window of a vehicle was smashed sometime between 10:30 p.m. July 13 and 7:30 a.m. July 14 in the 1100 block of Towne Avenue, reports  said. The cost of repair was unknown at the time the report was filed.
  • The rear window of a vehicle was broken sometime between 2 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. July 14 in the 0-99 block of Cottonwood Circle, reports said. Damage was estimated at $300.
  • Someone scratched the rear driver’s side and passenger side doors of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Mill Street sometime prior to 3:54 p.m. July 12.
  • Someone broke the rear passenger-side window of a vehicle in the parking lot at 1167 W. Wilson St., sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. July 10, reports said. The cost to repair the window was estimated at $150.
  • Someone damaged the driver’s side window of a vehicle in the 200 block of South Jefferson Boulevard around 6:26 a.m. July 3. The driver’s side window of a vehilc ein the 200 block of S. Jefferson Street was reported at 7:17 a.m.

Quarry Pool Graffiti 

Someone damaged the fence surrounding the dumpster at Quarry Park Pool sometime after closing July 7, reports said. The fencing had been spray painted, and cost of repair was estimated at $500. The report was filed at 11:51 a.m. July 9.

Bicycle Tires Slashed

Someone slashed the tired of a bicycle in the 700 bloc of North Van Buren Street sometime prior to 7:34 p.m. July 7, Batavia police reports said. The estimated cost to replace the tire is $20.
