The New Sousa Band began in 1979 with Keith Brion, former director of bands at Yale University, at the helm. Brion's dream to reincarnate the Sousa Band and tour America's towns and cities continues today. Wearing authentic replicas of the original Sousa Band uniforms, the musicians-"from major orchestras, military bands and university faculties-"convey the original style, spirit and ensemble sound of John Philip Sousa's patriotic marches.
