Fraud Reports: Counterfeit $5 Bill, Credit Card Transactions

Batavia police reports from July 7 through July 14 included three fraud reports.

'Money Transfer' From PMI 

Batavia police reported a case of fraud at PMI Energy Solutions, 1890 Suncast Lane, sometime prior to 10:36 a.m. July 10. The report says “money transfer transactions” were involved but provided no other information.

Counterfeit $5 Bill Reported

Someone reported a counterfeit $5 bill at McDonald’s, 125 W. Wilson St., around 11:54 a.m. July 9, reports said.

Credit Card Fraud

The victim told police that unknown offenders had fraudulently purchased items online using his debit card. A total of 10 transactions totaled $178.89, reports said.
