Fundraiser Started For Families Of 2 Killed In Batavia Car Crash
Two men, one 21 and one 18, died in a car crash on Fabyan Parkway Sunday evening.
BATAVIA, IL — A fundraiser has been created to help the families of two men who died in a car crash in Batavia Sunday evening. Batavia resident Farzin Khamis-Zadegan, 21, and Elburn resident Brian Froehlich, 18, were killed after their car crashed into another in oncoming traffic on Fabyan Parkway.
"They were some of my best friends," wrote the organizer of the GoFundMe campaign. "They were also, sons, brothers, classmates, best friends, car mates and family to many."
A Ford Mustang, driven by Khamis-Zadegan and with Froehlich as a passenger, was traveling west on Fabyan Parkway when it crossed into eastbound lanes and hit the passenger side of a Kia Optima, according to an initial investigation by Batavia police.
