Find out what you can and what you cannot put in your recycling bin at a presentation Thursday in Batavia.
From Kane County Government: Get the lowdown on what you should be recycling at home and at work. Jennifer will cover what can and cannot go in your curbside recycling cart, changes in the recycling industry, and the work being done on reducing contamination in recycling streams. She will also share top recycling tips that answer the most commonly asked questions.
Learn about where you can recycle other items beyond to bin at drop-off locations throughout Kane County: Styrofoam, electronics, books, hazardous waste, batteries, paint, and more. Also learn about the new residential food scrap collection program in Batavia. Get the 2019 schedule of Recycling Events, and all of the things you can take to them, including the free confidential document shredding dates.
This session will include a slide presentation, time for questions and answers and some fun giveaways, including the Kane County Recycles Green Guide.
