Man Who Sold Fatal Heroin Dose To Kaneville Twp Man Gets 10 Years
Aaron Moore, 30, of Chicago, pleaded guilty to the drug-induced homicide that killed a 34-year-old man.

Kaneville Township, IL — A Chicago man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the drug death of a Kaneville Township man. Aaron Moore, 30, pleaded guilty on Aug. 9 to drug-induced homicide in the 2016 overdose death of Richard Gregoire, 34.
According to police, Gregoire and a friend drove to Chicago on April 23 to purchase heroin from Moore. Later that night, Gregoire and his friend took the heroin, which was laced with fentanyl, and Gregoire died.
After the sentencing for Moore, Assistant Kane County State's Attorney Bill Engerman extended his sympathies to Gregoire's family. In a press release, Engerman said, "This sentence holds [Moore] accountable for his criminal conduct, and hopefully will serve as a deterrent to others. Our thoughts are with the family of Richard Gregoire."
