Police Searching for Montgomery Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Man's SUV found abandoned in Montgomery after he fled scene of domestic shooting Friday morning in Aurora, cops say.

A Montgomery man accused of trying to murder a 40-year-old man in a domestic-related shooting Friday morning on Aurora’s West Side is believed to be on the lam.
Aurora Police put out an appeal for the public’s help in finding Enrique B. Jaquez, 35, whose last known address is on the 300 block of Pearl Street in Montgomery.

Jacquez has been charged with multiple felonies. including attempted murder, home invasion, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon stemming from Friday’s shooting.
According to charges filed by the Kane County State’s Attorney, Jaquez knocked on the door of his ex-girlfriend’s home in the 1800 block of Brighton Circle, Aurora, around 10:10 a.m.

When she answered the door, Jaquez allegedly forced his way into the home where Jaquez shot the 40-year-old man. The man was critically injured after suffering a gunshot wound to the side, and underwent surgery at an Aurora-area hospital.
After the alleged shooting, police said the wounded man and Jaquez both ran from the residence. Jaquez ran south on Brighton Circle to his SUV and fled the scene.
Jaquez’s SUV was later found in the 1900 block of Kevin Drive in Montgomery. Police are processing it for evidence.
Jaquez is a male Hispanic, 5-foot-10-inches tall, 220 lbs., with short black hair and brown eyes. Police said Jaquez should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Aurora Police investigators at 630-256-5500, Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000, or 911.
Callers to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to his arrest.
