St. Charles Man Busted for Running Alleged Grow Operation in Basement
Authorities found 112 marijuana plants in the home in the 1700 block of South Fifth Place.

ST. CHARLES, IL - A 61-year-old St. Charles man accused of operating a “grow operation” in his basement was arrested in recent weeks when authorities found 112 marijuana plants in his home, the Kane County Chronicle reports.
Robert E. Jaeckel is charged with producing 50 to 200 marijuana plants, manufacturing or delivering marijuana/30 to 500 grams and possession of marijuana/30 to 500 grams, according to online court records. He is free on bail after posting 10 percent of his $50,000 bond.
The marijuana found in the Jaeckel’s home on June 23 in the 1700 block of South Fifth Place was valued at $31,690, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
