Someone Cuts Wires to Bronze Fountain Lights on Batavia Riverwalk

Criminal damage to property complaints also include $2,000 worth of damage when someone splatters paint on a car.

There weren't a lot of criminal damage complaints in the Batavia Police Department blotter between April 22 and April 29, but the two that were files were interesting.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone splattered paint on the passenger side of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Wilson Street. The report was made at 12:22 p.m. April 27. The estimated cost to repair the damage was $2,000.

Criminal Damage to Property—A Batavia Park District employee reported that someone cut the wires to one of the bronze fountain lights in the riverwalk fountain. The report was made at 11:17 a.m. April 26 at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island, and may be related to a previous incident, reports said.
