Tanglewood Hills Car Burglaries Tuesday Likely Related: Batavia PD
Multiple people are suspected to have committed the burglaries after driving into the neighborhood in three different cars, police said.
BATAVIA, IL — Several cars in Batavia's Tanglewood Hills subdivision were burglarized early Tuesday morning. The incidents are believed to be "likely connected," police said in an update Wednesday.
The first burglary occurred in the 600 block of Brady Way. Police responded to the incident at about 5:43 a.m. but were unable to locate any suspects. They later recovered an unoccupied Kia sedan, which had been reported stolen by Chicago police, in the 500 block of Alberosky Way.
Later Tuesday morning, police said a resident reported the theft of a white Jeep SUV from the driveway of a property in the 700 block of Lusted Lane.

Police also responded to two other car burglaries in the 2300 block of Bird Lane.
According to video surveillance from residents, multiple people are suspected to have committed the burglaries after driving into the neighborhood in a white SUV, black SUV and the recovered Kia sedan, police said.

Detectives did not find evidence of forced entry into the burglarized cars and are working with other law enforcement agencies to develop and follow up on any leads.
Police are reminding residents to lock their cars and keep them empty of valuables or keys. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Batavia Police Department's Investigations Division at 630-454-2500.
