Were you scared to be on the streets of Batavia on Saturday? You should have been!
That's because nearly 300 walking dead people roamed the area for the first-ever Batavia Zombiewalk.

The event, organized by local groups, transformed your friends and neighbors into freaky, ghoulish people. It was a key staple of the day with the Batfest events on the .
A total of 291 people participated, raising close to $3,000, said Joi Cuartero, executive director of Batavia MainStreet.

Proceeds from this event will go to the MainStreet, the Batavia Music Buffs, S.T.A.G.E. and Batavia Sports Boosters.
