From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., neighbors can drop off specific care‑package supplies, write encouraging notes, and enjoy free hot dogs while supporting local service members overseas. 
• Back Home – World War II airman from Prairie du Rocher returns 82 years after death - (bellevillemessenger.org) — Family and neighbors from Prairie du Rocher, Belleville and beyond gathered last month as World War II airman Edgar “Billy” Nevois was finally laid to rest in his hometown, 82 years after his death. A Belleville celebration of life for his sister preceded the military procession and graveside honors, where hundreds lined the route to pay their respects.
• Another former metro-east baseball standout makes big league debut (bnd.com) — A former O’Fallon High School pitching star and Belleville News-Democrat Metro-East Player of the Year, Hayden Juenger, has reached the majors with the Toronto Blue Jays. His journey includes standout high school seasons, strong numbers at Missouri State, and minor-league work alongside Belleville East graduate and current Nationals catcher Drew Millas.
