• Son's death pushes mom to help others with free Belleville mental health services (bnd.com) — A new Marshmallow’s HOPE clinic in Belleville’s Copper Bend Centre is offering free mental health services for local youth and young adults, including grief counseling and suicide-loss support. Started by Rockford mom Laura Kane after losing her son, the nonprofit aims to remove cost and transportation barriers while partnering with the state’s Pathways to Success program to reach metro-east families.
