• Man arrested for impersonating sheriff's deputy in Peoria County (centralillinoisproud.com) — A man is jailed after allegedly posing as a Peoria County sheriff’s deputy and stopping a driver along Plank Road in Bellevue, near the county jail. Deputies say he wore a fake uniform, drove an unmarked SUV with flashing lights, and later was arrested in South Peoria, where officers reportedly found weapons and law-enforcement style gear.
