• BAPA hires new executive director (beverlyreview.net) — Beverly’s key neighborhood group, the Beverly Area Planning Association, has hired longtime resident Herb Lentz as its new executive director, based at the 99th Street office. Lentz, active in local schools and community groups, says he’ll start by listening to neighbors, strengthening partnerships, and guiding BAPA into its 80th-anniversary era with a focus on connection and collaboration.

• Kennedy Park hosts baseball/softball clinic (beverlyreview.net) — Young ballplayers from Beverly and nearby neighborhoods packed Kennedy Park on April 12 for a new Bridging the Bases baseball and softball clinic, led by local high school teams and coaches. Co-coordinator Courtney O’Connor, who grew up in Beverly, helped design the event to strengthen neighborhood leagues, connect kids with future schools, and keep the community coming back to the park.
