19th Ward Holiday Dodge Ball Tourney, Children's Movie Cancelled
An ice skating party on the outdoor rink at Mt. Greenwood Park will take their place instead, Wednesday, Dec. 29.
CHICAGO — Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the 19th Ward Holiday Dodge Ball Tournament and Children’s Film Festival, set for the week between Christmas and New Year's Day, have unfortunately been canceled.
To make up for it, the 19th Ward and Chicago Park District will co-host a free kids ice skating party at Mt. Greenwood Park. The skating party is for noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29.
Music and free hot chocolate will be provided. The fee for skate rental will also be waived to the outdoor rink. Supply of skates to be rented is limited, so they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Hopefully it will get cold enough for the ice rink to freeze.
