19th Ward Hosts Flu, COVID Vaccination Clinic For Kids And Adults
Flu and COVID-19 shots will be available for adults and children ages 5-11 at CrossWinds Church Nov 20. Appointments required.
CHICAGO — The 19th Ward and Jewel-Osco will be offering COVID-19 and flu shot vaccinations on Saturday, Nov. 20. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.at CrossWinds Church, 10835 S. Pulaski Road. The Pfizer and Moderna booster and vaccines will be available, as well as first shot-Pfizer vaccines or children 5 - 11 years old.

This event is for 19th Ward residents only. Bring a copy of your insurance card and photo ID. Insurance will be billed, but there will be no charge to participants. Uninsured residents are also welcome to come and receive a shot at no cost.

The event is being sponored by Ald. Matt O’Shea, Sen. Bill Cunningham, Sen. Emil Jones Jr., and Reps. Fran Hurley, Kelly Burke and Justin Slaughter.
COVID-19 Vaccine Authorization Update
With final approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, all children ages 5 to 11 are now eligible to receive Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Pediatric vaccine doses have already begun to arrive in Chicago with more being delivered this week and next. Providers can begin to administer them immediately, and parents can get more information at City of Chicago Youth Vaccination.

There are a number of ways for families to get their children age 5-11 vaccinated against COVID-19, including at pediatricians’ offices, hospitals, pharmacies, community health centers, community events, and dedicated CPS and CDPH-hosted clinics.
